Wet electric precipitator IFE

Wet electric precipitator is standard, single, vertical with round tube collecting electrodes in cylindrical casing. They are intended for purification of furnace gas from sulfuric acid fog (H₂SO ₄), arsenic oxides (As₂O ₃) and selenium (SeO ₂). Electric precipitator is operated in dusty gases environment with impurity of sulphurous anhydride (SO ₂), in foggy and tear-shaped moisture.

Wet electric precipitator's operating principle

Electric precipitators of this type are designed for depressurize up to 6 kPa. The system of collecting electrodes represents the unit executed of titanium pipes with general top and bottom flanges, dividing electric precipitator into three main parts:

  • Dirty gas camera with sludge removal system and gas distribution grate;
  • Active part unit, consisting of discharge and collecting electrodes with system of support and center adjustment;
  • Pure gas camera, where discharge electrodes' shaking device and irrigation system for washout of the caught dust are located.

Discharge electrode can be executed various types – a helicoid, with non-fixed discharge firing points of corona discharge, or a flat-needled corona electrode with fixed discharge points. Discharge electrodes system is hung on supporting wall tube insulators. Electric precipitator's housing is made of materials, resistant to gas passing through electric precipitator.

Basic elements of the electric precipitator are:

  • cylindrical-shape casing;
  • discharge and collecting electrodes with system of support and center adjustment;
  • insulation boxes with insulators;
  • irrigation system (washout);
  • gas-distribution grate.
