Collecting electrode is one of the elements of active part of the electric precipitator providing sedimentation of the caught dust on its surface while electric precipitator is in operation.

Collecting electrodes are divided into:

Purification of gas is based on the method that dust particles (due to electrostatic charge, created by corona electrode) are gathered on the surface of collecting electrode.

Collecting electrodes, produced by Industrial Vostok Engineering have a smooth surface (without acute angles and cavities). Due to this, accumulated dust shakes without increase of field tension. If there are edges and angles, electric precipitator's tension considerably decreases.

For reliable operation of the electric precipitator in the conditions of the increased temperature and strong vibration, electrode design should provide minimum secondary re-entrainment, high electric rates and sufficient mechanical durability.
